Research proves that we are facing an extraordinarily dynamic situation: China is number
one in semiconductor consumption; demand for manufacturing machinery and
equipment is growing, so is the automotive sector and the use of power
electronics. Applications in mobile communications and wireless applications
are paramount, while display technologies are profiting from strong demand for
mobile telephones, televisions and notebooks. Electronic manufacturing services
(EMS) and embedded systems are needed in all
market segments.
LASER World of PHOTONICS China 2012
China's
Platform for the Photonics community
In China, market opportunities in the photonics sector continue to
develop at a very rapid pace. The country is one of the biggest importers of
optical and optoelectronic products world-wide. Almost half of the world's top
500 companies have set up an office or a joint venture there. The production in
China
depends highly on foreign supply. In 2010, the import of German optical
components and lasers accounted for about 515 million euro. This was an
increase of 46 percent compared to 2009! The future demand for optoelectronic
products in China
is still predicted to remain at a high level and therefore opens up
opportunities for industry relevant producers worldwide.
